AI Is Already Making Decisions:  Legal Risk, Leadership Accountability, and the Future of Work

Rob Warzel and Lee Ann Wiiki

Artificial intelligence is no longer a future-state conversation—it’s actively reshaping how organizations operate, compete, and manage risk. This session brings together two critical perspectives: the evolving legal landscape of AI and the practical realities of adopting AI within an organization.

Attendees will gain a clear understanding of emerging legal considerations—from compliance and liability to governance—alongside a pragmatic framework for AI adoption and change management. The discussion will connect strategy to execution, exploring how organizations can responsibly deploy AI models, agents, and test environments while optimizing human capital and safeguarding critical systems.

Proposed Takeaways

  • Know where AI has the potential to create liability before it creates value.
  • Build an adoption roadmap that does not turn into organizational chaos.
  • Keep humans accountable when machines recommend, decide, or act

Light dinner will be served.

Our Speakers:

Rob  Warzel

Rob Warzel is a labor and employment attorney who helps employers navigate high-stakes workplace issues with clarity, practicality, and composure. He partners with medium and large employers to solve problems before they disrupt operations and to defend organizations when disputes arise.

Rob primarily focuses his practice on day-to-day employment counseling and litigation defense involving wage and hour claims, discrimination and harassment allegations, accommodation issues, workplace investigations, and employment policies and contracts.

Known for his steady presence under pressure and strong business sense, Rob approaches legal challenges the way his clients do: as operational problems that require practical, workable solutions. Whether guiding a sensitive internal investigation, advising on complex ADA accommodations, revising employee handbooks, or defending claims in court, he prioritizes strategies that minimize disruption while protecting the company’s long-term interests.
